Chicago Reference style

Chicago style of writing was introduced in the year 1906 by a university of Chicago press. It is the most consulted style of writing in manuals. It includes footnote referencing and author-date referencing. Footnote referencing is widely used in arts and humanities.

ACS (American Chemical Society)

The style is now in its third edition. It is commonly used in chemistry-related disciplines. It uses numbered referencing and also in text referencing.

Vancouver.

This one is commonly used in health sciences, and it uses numbered reference list. Up to date, there is no official manual of Vancouver, US national library of medicine is the most authoritative manual in this referencing style.

AMA( American Medical Association)

Students who want to publish their medical journals must use this referencing style. It is the only method accepted by American medical association publishing companies. This method is widely used in medicine.

AGLC (Australian Guide to Legal Citation)

Australian students studying law are required to use this referencing style in their assignments. It is the standard Australian guide in law and other legal materials.

CSE (Council of Science Editors)

Currently, this referencing style is in the seventh edition. It was first introduced in 1960 by Council of biology editors. It is also referred as CBE manual. It is widely used in scientific disciplines and life sciences subjects.
